Children’s Bread

Mark 7:25-30

New International Version (NIV)

” 25 In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an impure spirit came and fell at his feet. 26 The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.

27 “First let the children eat all they want,” he told her, “for it is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

28 “Lord,” she replied, “even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”

29 Then he told her, “For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter.”

30 She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone. “

The above portion of scripture taught me 2 facts about being a child of God.

1. Children’s bread :

Receiving a supernatural breakthrough is one of the best experience as a child of God. In the above passage we see Jesus describing it as the ‘children’s bread’. Encountering God through miracles and signs and wonders are your healthiest meal in your walk with God. They reignite your passion and commitment. God is longing to release blessings, favour and grace upon His children. Believe and expect God to do great things for you.

2. The power of faith :

Faith opens the door to God’s heart. Your faith is a direct result of how much you trust God. Do you trust Him with your life? Do you believe He cares about the smallest and the biggest details of your life? If you do, faith should prove it. I’ve been blessed to see so many people trusting God with radical faith and God meeting their needs.

And when someone does not get an expected breakthrough, I’ve heard some people say things like “You did not get that breakthrough because you did not have enough faith”. I am not very convinced with that. The real test of your faith is if you still trust God with that situation and your life in-spite of you not receiving what you needed at your own planned time. If you can still hold on and believe that God is in control and He makes all things work together for your good, that is faith and trust proven strong.

God is faithful and His promises for you never expires. I pray that you would experience God’s love for you through miracles and signs and wonders on a regular basis.

If you have any stories of miracles and breakthroughs you’ve experienced , please add a comment and share to encourage others.
